Fools Rush In

Matthew Perry does his best “Chandler Bing” in this 1996 romantic comedy from the director of Anna and the King.

Unlike my man McBain, I never saw this flick in the theatre, but after watching it this weekend on video I must say that Salma Hayek is one hot tamale! Wheee!

Other than that there is not much else to say about this predictable, and completely mediocre movie except for one really funny line that Matthew Perry’s best buddy Jeff (Jon Tenney) has when referring to the relation ship Hayek and Perry have. “It’s a relationship built on heat. It’s like Vegas, why didn’t they just build this city on the fucking sun?”

I won’t recommend this chick flick to anyone unless you totally love Matthew Perry or Salma Hayek, in which case go for it.

Oh yeah, now I know why you have the Maurin Quinta poster in your house McBain!!
